Amsterdam Based Designer and Animator
Animation
Animation, literally means bringing something to life. That’s is the reason I get so excited by animating. I can make something that moves, has a mind of it’s own. Maybe even change the mind of the viewer in some way.
I’ve always been fascinated by outer space, aliens, etc. I feel so helpless and amazed when looking up and thinking about what could be out there.
This is the feeling I’ve tried to ‘animate’ in these animations. The feeling of being completely alone, on a world so alien, you forget you exist, if but for a moment.
In this project, I created an app to order boba tea, for a shop called ‘MIKI DODO’. Inspired by a real boba shop based in Berlin.
I took sound design very serious, going out of my way to ‘stack’ sounds, creating the perfect experience. I took sound design very serious, going out of my way to ‘stack’ sounds, creating the perfect experience.
I love being bold in my designs, in this animation I experimented with morphing in After Effects. Also using sound to amplify the animation.
I want my work to grab the attention of the viewer. This doesn’t mean the work has to be extravagant. This can be done by making the animation itself bold.
Besides making short animations, artwork and posters in 3D programs. I also get very inspired by integrating a story into them, having an open-ended, mysterious story.
These types of videos are created to make the viewer question the purpose, thereby challenging them mentally. Filling in the blanks with their fantasy. Putting the faith in their hands
This is an animated logo for ‘ONE WORLD’. Inspired by SDG 11, which focuses on cities.
The way the lines animate in and out, were inspired by an architect’s drawings. The logo tries to be Neo-futuristic.

Artwork
This poster series is not animated, though it is made in the same 3D software, blender. This poster series is not animated, though it is made in the same 3D software, blender.
Like most of my work, and my animations, my art is also inspired by this thirst for a bigger subject. I try having lots of metaphors in my art and posters. That way, the viewer can dig into the work and keep realising that the meaning goes deep.
I try making the work visually attracting for most, however I like grabbing the attention of art-enthousiast, and people with a thirst for knowledge.

No, I’m not that crazy. I don’t exclusively use blender. In my off time, you’ll be seeing me illustrate using Procreate. Creating posters, but also comics, characters and even landscapes.
